SUY NIỆM: Đối với tội nhân, Chúa Giêsu ví mình như người mục tử đi tìm con chiên lạc. Ngài không phải là vị Thiên Chúa xa cách, khinh rẻ kẻ có tội nhưng là một Thiên Chúa yêu thương, sẵn sàng hạ mình, cất công đi tìm chiên xa đàn, vui mừng khi tìm thấy, tha thứ và đưa chiên về đàn. Ngài đi tìm kiếm tội nhân không phải vì Ngài cần gì nơi họ nhưng chỉ vì Ngài muốn ban phát một tình yêu vô điều kiện và chỉ để chia sẻ hạnh phúc cho người được Ngài yêu thương. “Thiên Chúa dựng nên Ađam không phải vì cần con người, nhưng là để có một người mà ngài tuôn đổ hồng ân trên người đó” (Thánh Irênê).
MỜI BẠN: Thái độ của Chúa Giêsu đem lại hy vọng cho người lạc bước. Ngài nêu gương “hiền lành khiêm nhường trong lòng” trong thái độ phải có đối với tội nhân: sẵn sàng tha thứ, nhẫn nại đợi chờ, luôn yêu cầu nguyện cho họ được mau trở về cùng Chúa.
SỐNG LỜI CHÚA: Thực hành lời khuyên của thánh Don Bosco: “Không để lòng sôi sục, không được có khóe nhìn khinh bỉ, không được phép dùng lời ăn tiếng nói nhục mạ ai. Nhưng ta hãy cứ cảm thông lúc này và hi vọng vào tương lai.”
