    Luật cư xử với chiếc xe đổ rác

    Một hôm tôi nhảy lên được một xe tắc xi để vội vã đến sân bay. Xe chúng tôi đang chạy bên phải, thì có một chiếc xe đen thui bỗng từ bãi đậu chồm ra ngay trước mũi xe. Bác tài xế tắc xi của tôi bèn đạp thắng, xe lết đi, và chỉ thoát đụng phải chiếc xe kia trong gang tấc!



    Người lái xe kia gân cổ lên nhìn chúng tôi lơ láo, rồi cất tiếng chửi bới. Bác tài xế của tôi chỉ mỉm cười và còn vẫy tay chào gã kia. Tôi muốn nói bác ta quả thật là người hiền khô và dễ thương quá đi! Thấy thế, tôi bèn hỏi tại sao bác ta lại xử sự như vậy. Tên kia suýt chút nữa đã làm tan nát chiếc xe của bác và đưa cả hai chúng ta vào nhà thương! Và đây là lúc bác tài xế đã dạy cho tôi một bài học mà tôi gọi là "Luật Cư Xử Với Chiếc Xe Ðổ Rác"
    Bác tài giải thích rằng: Trên đời này không thiếu gì những người chẳng khác gì... những xe đổ rác! Họ chạy lông nhông ngoài đường, thân mình đầy rác rưởi, tâm hồn tràn ngập thất vọng, tức giận, và bất mãn với đời. Rác rưởi càng chồng chất thì họ lại càng muốn tìm được nơi nào trút bỏ, và đôi khi họ nhằm ngay chính bạn để trút đống rác đó.
    Vậy thì tại sao bạn lại phải chuốc lấy đống rác nầy nhỉ! Tại sao không chỉ mỉm cười, vẫy tay chào họ, chúc họ khỏi bệnh, rồi tiếp tục con đường mình đi! Nhớ đừng lấy cọng rác nào của họ để reo rắc những thứ đó lên những người khác nơi mình làm việc, trong gia đình mình, hay cho những người mình gặp trên đường phố.
    Ðiểm then chốt cần nhớ là những con người thành công đều là những kẻ không để cho rác rưởi xen vào chiếm đoạt một ngày của đời mình. Cuộc sống vốn ngắn ngủi, thì cớ sao sau một giấc ngủ dậy, lại phải vấn vương vì một hối tiếc nào đó nhỉ? Do đó: Hãy yêu-thương những kẻ đã đối xử đẹp với ta, và Hãy cầu Trời tha thứ cho những kẻ đã xử tệ với ta.
    Cuộc sống nầy chẳng qua chỉ có 10% là do bạn gây ra; và còn lại 90% là tùy xem bạn đối phó với nó như thế nào.
