SUY NIỆM:
Như Giáo hội dành ngày Chúa Nhật, thì Do thái dành ngày hưu lễ, ngày Sabát để tôn kính Giavê Thiên Chúa. Ngày của Chúa chỉ được làm việc cho Thiên Chúa. Vì thế biệt phái đã kêu trách khi thấy các môn đệ Ðức Giêsu bứt bông lúa trong ngày đó. Nhưng Ðức Giêsu đã cho người biệt phái hiểu rõ tinh thần của lề luật. Việc làm cho Thiên Chúa là tất cả những hành động đem lại tình yêu thương, đem lại hạnh phúc và niềm vui cho con người cho cuộc đời. Thiên Chúa chỉ được vinh danh khi con người được hạnh phúc.
CẦU NGUYỆN:
Lạy Chúa Giêsu, xin giúp chúng con biết giữ luật theo tinh thần của Lề luật. Tất cả các giới luật chỉ qui về một Luật căn bản: Kính Thiên Chúa, yêu con người. Xin Chúa thánh hóa ngày sống của chúng con. Khi chúng con biết sống cho Chúa, cho tha nhân, là chúng con đã dùng ngày của Chúa có ý nghĩa. Amen.
