SUY NIỆM: Chúa Giêsu đến trần gian, nhằm cứu độ tất cả mọi người. Nhưng để đạt được ơn cứu độ, đòi hỏi mỗi người phải cố gắng cộng tác với những ân ban của Thiên Chúa. Và Ngài muốn từng người "Hãy chiến đấu để qua được cửa cửa hẹp mà vào”.
Chiến đấu mà Chúa Giêsu muốn nói đến không phải là sự tranh giành hơn thua, không phải là lọai trừ nhau mà vào. Nhưng Chúa muốn mỗi người hãy chiến đấu với chính bản thân mình, để đạt được Nước Trời. Có người không thể đi qua cửa hẹp mà vào, không phải là vì cửa Nước Trời quá nhỏ bé. Nhưng là bởi vì bản thân người đó còn mang quá nhiều thứ cồng kềnh, nặng nề, tức là còn bị níu kéo bởi những đam mê của cải vật chất, còn chất chứa trong lòng những oán ghét giận hờn, còn đắm chìm trong vũng lầy tội lỗi.
Hành trình tiến về quê trời của mỗi người, luôn có sự hiện diện, quan tâm, nâng đỡ bằng ân sủng của Thiên Chúa. Nhưng hành trình này cũng đòi từng người phải nỗ lực không ngừng, nhằm đưa mình ra khỏi tình trạng tội lỗi. Muốn thực hiện được điều này, thì không gì khác hơn là lắng nghe, suy niệm, thực hành lời Chúa cùng tuân giữ những giáo huấn của Giáo Hội.
CẦU NGUYỆN: Lạy Chúa, xin giúp chúng con luôn ý thức rằng: được chiêm ngắm Chúa nơi Thiên đàng là hạnh phúc viên mãn của kiếp người. Nhờ đó chúng con con có thể vượt qua những cám dỗ, những ràng buộc trong cuộc đời này, mà hết lòng phục vụ Chúa và anh em đồng lọai. Amen.
