Một người tìm thấy một cái kén. Đến một ngày nọ, một lỗ nhỏ xuất hiện, anh ta quan sát con bướm khi nó nỗ lực thoát ra cái lỗ ấy. Rồi dường như nó bất động.
Anh ta quyết định giúp con bướm và dùng một cây kéo, anh cắt rộng cái kén. Sau đó con bướm thoát ra dễ dàng. Nó có thân hình sưng vù và đôi cánh nhăn nheo. Người này nhìn con bướm mong đợi nó sẽ phát triển bình thường. Nhưng không có gì thay đổi.Con bướm vẫn thế. Nó chẳng bao giờ có thể bay được.
Với lòng tốt và sự hấp tấp, người đàn ông không nhận ra nỗ lực của con bướm chui khỏi cái lỗ nhỏ là một quá trình tự nhiên làm thoát hết chất dịch trong thân sang cánh để có thể sẵn sàng bay.
Như cây non cần có gió để trở nên cứng cáp. Đôi khi, trong cuộc sống,chúng ta cần nỗ lực để mạnh mẽ hơn.
